About Sam the Pomsky

Sam the Pomsky is a second-generation chocolate brown and white Pomsky with sparkling blue eyes. Born at Smokey Mountain Pomskies in Tennessee, Sam has been winning hearts and spreading joy in New York City since arriving there as a playful 3-pound pup.

Sam’s antics and resilient personality have inspired the illustrations in Sam’s Daily Dos, capturing his heart, wit, and zest for life. A natural-born rascal, Sam turns everyday moments into adventures, winning over admirers everywhere he goes (except maybe skateboarders!). From mastering the art of transforming from a “smol doggo” into a “double doggo” by standing on his hind legs to his unexpected love for raw cabbage—one of his favorite foods—Sam has a special way of making every day b...

Valeria Calafiore Healy is a New York City lawyer with a creative soul. Born and raised in Italy, her Sicilian heritage, rooted in storytelling, playful humor, and a love for vibrant colors, has deeply influenced and inspired her creative pursuits. Her debut children’s book, Sam’s Daily Dos, is a tribute to her fun-loving dog, Sam the Pomsky, and the small, meaningful lessons life offers each day.
